Activate your prepaid card

You must activate your Northern Territory (NT) Seniors Recognition Scheme prepaid card before you can use it.

You will need to confirm your identity first. Once activated, you can use your card immediately.

You can activate your card online, by phone or in person.

Online

To activate your card online, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to the NT Concessions prepaid card activation page.

Step 2. Get an activation code. You can receive it:

• by SMS – you will need your mobile phone with you
• by email – you will need access to your email account
• over the phone.

By phone

To activate your card by phone, follow these steps:

Step 1. Call 1800 777 704.

Step 2. Select the ‘card activation’ option.

Step 3. You will be transferred to the card provider call centre.

Step 4. You will be asked to confirm your identity.

Step 5. Your card will be activated.

In person

You can activate your card in person at:

• a customer service centre
• a self-service iPad station – these are available at:
  • customer service centre
  • a member assist provider, Council of the Aging NT (COTA NT)

After you enter your prepaid card number into the iPad, an activation code will be sent to you:

• by SMS
• by email
• over the phone.

Staff can help you use the iPad if you need it.
