Apply to be a licensed agent manager

Licensed agents can only carry out work if they have an approved manager.

Agent managers make sure businesses are following the law and keeping records.

Who can apply

You must pass a character test and have no history of fraud, dishonesty or physical violence offences to become an agent manager.

Individual licensed agents

If you have an individual agent licence, you can either:

  • apply to be your own manager
  • or get another approved person to act as a manager.

Agents licensed as a corporation

If you are licensed as a corporation you must get an approved person to be your manager.

Before you apply

You will need to get a certified copy of your photo ID, for example your driver licence or passport, before you apply to become a licensed agent manager.

You must also get a police history check.

You will need to pay a fee when you apply - check the fee.

Step 1Fill in the application for approval for an agent's manager form (46.6 kb).

Step 2Attach supporting documents including the certified copy of your ID.
Step 3Submit the form, fee and documents at your nearest Territory Business Centre.
