Change or add a liquor licence nominee
All licensed premises in the Northern Territory (NT) must have a nominee who is responsible for the daily operations of the premises, making sure it complies with its liquor licence and the Liquor Act 2019.
Because of these responsibilities, a liquor licence nominee is usually also the manager of the premises.
A liquor licence holder can apply to have multiple nominees.
Before you apply
The new nominee must do all of the following:
- hold a responsible service of alcohol (RSA) certificate
- understand and follow the code of practice to assist in responsible alcohol promotion, read the code of practice on the Attorney-General’s Department website
- understand that all applicants will be assessed as to whether they are a fit and proper person.
