NT school curriculum

This page has information on the curriculum and learning program for senior students.

In senior years your child follows the Australian Curriculum and the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET). Read more about the NTCET.

Your child can also study for an apprenticeship or other vocational education and training (VET). Read more about VET and apprenticeships and traineeships in school.

Year 10 curriculum

Year 10 is the foundation year for the NTCET.

As part of the Year 10 curriculum, your child must study the following subjects:

• English or literacy
• mathematics or numeracy
• science
• history
• the arts
• health and physical education.

Year 11 curriculum

Australian Curriculum mathematics and English are taught in year 11 from 2016 within the South Australian Curriculum Certificate of Education (SACE) curriculum.
