NT school curriculum
Introduction
All Northern Territory (NT) schools deliver the Australian Curriculum.
It's latest version (version 9.0) was endorsed by all education ministers on 1 April 2022.
This will be implemented in:
- English, mathematics, health and physical education by 2025
- Technologies, humanities and social sciences, languages, and the arts by 2026.
For NT schools, all curriculum, assessment and reporting is overseen by the Northern Territory (NT) Board of Studies.
What does version 9.0 offer
Version 9.0 offers clearer guidance on the content and skills your child should learn.
It also provides better alignment between:
- achievement standards and content
- learning areas, general capabilities, and cross-curriculum priorities.
