Request review of a decision made under the Water Act
If you have applied for a licence or permit and you are unhappy with the decision, you can request a review of the decision under section 105D of the Water Act 1992.
You can also request a review if you’ve received a remediation or direction notice.
For a full list of reviewable decisions and who can apply, see schedule 2 of the Act.
How to request review
You can request a review of a decision to the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NTCAT).
It provides a non-judicial body for a fair and independent resolution of disputes.
For more information including how to apply, timeframes and fees, go to the NTCAT website.
Contact
To find out more about the review process, contact NTCAT by emailing AGD.ntcat@nt.gov.au or calling 1800 604 622.
