About emergency services


The Northern Territory Police is the main law enforcement agency in the Territory.

As well as police stations in major centres, there are more than 50 stations in remote areas.

NT police provide services including:

  • community education
  • road safety
  • youth programs
  • firearm and weapons licences.

If it’s not an emergency, call 131 444 to speak to an operator.
