Ferry services

There are two passenger ferry services operating from Darwin:

  • Cullen Bay to Mandorah
  • and Cullen Bay to Tiwi Islands.

The NT government has an agreement with Sealink NT to operate the ferry service.

For timetables and fares go to the Sealink NT website.

Code of conduct for students on ferry

All school students travelling on the Darwin to Mandorah ferry must follow the code of conduct for ferry travel – guide for students and parents/carers (407.1 kb).

The code of conduct applies to all students attending primary, middle and secondary schools in the NT who use the ferry to travel to or from school, or for other school related activities.

It includes guidelines on:

  • behaviour standards
  • student, parent/carer, school and operator responsibilities
  • written warnings
  • bans on travel for up to 10 school days
  • procedures for managing misbehaviour.
