Secure bike enclosures
You can lock your bike in a secure enclosure at selected bus interchanges in Darwin.
There are bicycle enclosures at:
- Casuarina bus interchange
- Palmerston bus interchange
- Coolalinga Park and Ride
- Humpty Doo Park and Ride.
Enclosures are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to holders of an access key.
You are responsible for the security of your bike and equipment. Using a lock is strongly recommended.
Who can apply
Access keys are available to people aged 18 and over. A parent or guardian can apply for an access key for a child.
How to apply
You must apply for your access key in person at a bus interchange information office.
You will need to do all of the following:
- show photo ID
- fill out an application form
- pay the deposit for the access key.
Return your access key
When you no longer need your access key, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to an interchange office with your photo ID.
Step 2. Hand in your key.
Step 3. Fill in the application form and tick the refund box.
Your refund will be sent to you by cheque.
