Larapinta Trail	Open	Caution: The Larapinta Trail has been impacted by recent prolonged heavy rainfall and flooding. All 12 sections should be regarded as Grade 5 Difficult under the Australian Walking Track Grading System until further notice. Conditions are currently challenging with substantial vegetation overgrowth, trail surface damage, debris and some damaged or missing trail markers in many areas. Heat safety: Hiking the Larapinta Trail is only recommended between April and September. Conditions outside these months can be dangerously hot. It may be safe to plan shorter early morning walks, but careful planning and attention to weather forecasts is required. Read more about staying safe in the heat in parks.
