VET for secondary students

Your child has the opportunity to try an occupation while at school through VET.
Enrolling in VET
Your child can enrol in VET from Year 9 and select qualifications from courses offered through registered training organisations (RTOs) while at school.
VET can be used towards the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET).
Structured work placements
Your child will learn the skills and requirements of a particular job through an RTO and will complete a number of structured work placements which provide on the job training.
