Stages of schooling for international students
There are 3 stages of schooling in the Northern Territory (NT):
- primary school (transition to year 6)
- middle school (year 7 to year 9)
- senior high school (year 10 to year 12).
If students do not need intensive English assistance, they may enrol at any NT government school that has capacity.

Your child can study in a government primary school from transition to year 6.
