Understanding the conditions

When the Northern Territory Government issues a quote or tender, it includes standard legal conditions that suppliers must follow.

These are automatically part of the procurement documents and apply unless stated otherwise.

Conditions

Depending on the procurement type, the documents may reference:

• Conditions of quotation (for RFQs) - sets out the rules you must follow when submitting a quote.
• Conditions of tendering - applies to formal tender processes.
• Conditions of contract - required when you are awarded a contract. Different versions apply depending on whether the procurement is for goods, services, or works.

What to do

• Always check the RFQ or tender documents for a reference to one of these conditions.
• Download the relevant condition document and read it carefully - you are required to comply.
