Lodging a discharge of mortgage online
This instrument discharges the mortgage from being a charge over the land.
An electronic discharge of mortgage can be lodged where it affects the whole of the land.
To lodge an electronic discharge of mortgage, follow the steps below:
Land title reference
Enter the volume and folio reference. This will pre-populate the land description.
Mortgage details
Select the mortgage.
If there are multiple mortgages over the land to be discharged, a new discharge of mortgage must be completed for each mortgage.
Mortgagee details
Check the mortgagee details.
If the mortgagee's name is different from the register, you must submit a justification for the name discrepancy.
