Learn to swim vouchers for your child
If your child is under five years old and not enrolled in school, you can apply for learn to swim vouchers in the Northern Territory (NT).
This is called the Learn to Swim Voucher program.
Your child can receive two $100 Learn to Swim vouchers each year, one in January and one in July.
Your child must be registered for the water safety awareness program run by the Royal Life Saving Society before you apply for the vouchers.
Sport vouchers can also be redeemed by registered activity providers who deliver swimming and music lessons within school hours.
To get a Learn to Swim voucher, your child must be all of the following:
- a resident of the NT
- under five years old
- not enrolled in transition or school
- registered for the water safety awareness program on the Royal Life Saving NT website.
You can only get one voucher in a semester - either a learn to swim voucher or a sport voucher.

Step 1. Register for the water safety awareness program on the Royal Life Saving NT website.
Step 2. Apply for your voucher on through the GrantsNT. You will need to register if you don't have an account.
