Bushfires are traumatic events and can be extremely challenging for people.
Places to go for help include:
- chat with a trusted family member or friend
- talk with a health professional such as your GP or psychologist/counsellor
- Lifeline’s 24 hour counselling service - call 13 11 14 or join the crisis support chat on the Lifeline website
- Blue Knot Foundation - call 1300 657 380 or go to the BlueKnot website
- Kids Help Line - call 1800 55 1800 or go to the Kids Helpline website.
