The following pages have information about how to become a rideshare driver or operator.

Ridesharing is a form of point-to-point transport service which was introduced in the Northern Territory (NT) on 1 February 2018.

It is a transport service where you use a smartphone app to arrange a ride in a usually privately owned vehicle.

Ridesharing in the NT is regulated similar to commercial passenger vehicle transport services.

Only approved drivers using approved vehicles will be able to provide ridesharing services.

Find out more about ridesharing regulations in the NT on the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics website.
