NT Volunteer of the Year Awards

The Northern Territory (NT) Volunteer of the Year Awards celebrate exemplary volunteer work.

They also recognise the contribution that volunteers make to communities in the NT.

The awards are an initiative of Volunteering SA&NT and are sponsored by the NT Government.

Award categories

The awards recognise the following categories in the Top End and Central Australia:

  • Chief Minister’s Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Chief Minister’s Youth Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Chief Minister's Community Volunteer Organisation /Team of the Year Award
  • Grassroots Group of the Year Award
  • Excellence in Volunteer Management Award.
  • Emergency Services Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Emergency Services Youth Volunteer of the Year Award.

To nominate an individual or organisation, go to the Volunteering SA&NT website.

When the awards take place

The awards are held in May annually in 2 locations:

  • Central Australia – Alice Springs
  • Top End – Darwin.
