How long permits last
Permits are valid for 2 years.
Permits will be automatically extended for 2 more years if substantial clearing has started before the original expiry date.

You can apply for an extension if clearing has not started in 2 years.

If land ownership changes
Permits issued under the Planning Act 1999 stay with the land when there is a change of owner or subdivision of land.
This includes responsibility for adhering to conditions of a permit.

- go to the NT Land Information Search website
- call the Vegetation Assessment Unit on 08 8999 4454.
