How eConveyancing works
Step 1. The subscriber lodges a dealing electronically via the ELNO in an electronic workspace.
Step 2. The ELNO will collect the LTO fees and send the dealing to the LTO.
Step 3. The LTO registers the dealing.
Rules and legislation
An ELNO and its users are governed by the Electronic Conveyancing (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2013.
The following requirements by the Australian Registrars National Electronic Conveyancing Council (ARNECC) also apply:
- model operating requirements for the Northern Territory
- model participation rules for the Northern Territory
- model participation guidance notes.
Learn more about ARNECC on the ARNECC website.

All fees are collected through an ELNO on behalf of the LTO.
The fee for submitting an online application is the same as submitting one in person or by mail.
However, an ELNO will charge a separate fee for using its platform and land support services (LSS).
LSS fees may include the following:
- supplying registry title data
- verifying lodgement documents
- title activity checks
- uploading title data following changes in data initially supplied.
