Snake bean garden 

The community food garden is also known as the snake bean garden. It is located at the Geranium Street entrance.

The garden allows community members to grow fresh food in a sustainable way.

Features

The garden features:

  • 29 community plots
  • two education plots for schools
  • chickens
  • water tank
  • landscaped creek line for storm water management.

Edible plants 

The garden features edible fruit such as, tropical fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices include sugar cane, coffee, cardamon, ginger, gotu kola, sweet leaf, aloe vera, lemongrass, eggplant, tomato, pumpkin, pawpaws, and chilies.

How to get involved

Snake bean gardeners occasionally meet at Eco House, on the left side of the path surrounded by the food garden.

All community members are welcome to attend.
