Arts Projects grant

Through the Arts Projects Grant,  you can apply for funding to:

  • create and showcase the arts of the NT
  • provide employment opportunities for NT artists
  • support emerging artists to grow their artistic practice and creative capacity.

Funding available

Individuals, groups and organisations can apply for:

  • arts development, up to 30,000 for the research, development or creation of new work
  • presentation and promotion, up to $30,000 for the presentation, exhibition, distribution or promotion of NT arts practice
  • skills development, up to $30,000 for the development of skills, knowledge, and experience for NT artists and arts workers, for themselves or others
  • emerging artists, up to $15,000 for early career artists to develop or showcase new work.

Who can apply

To be eligible:

  • you must meet the general eligibility criteria in the Arts Grants Program guidelines
  • at least 50% of your project budget must come from sources other than Arts NT.

What you should know

  • Your project can't be presented at NT major events.
  • If you are requesting over $15,000 and don’t have an ABN, you must apply through an administering body.
  • Arts organisations receiving more than $100,000 annually from the Arts Grants Program can't apply or act as an administering body if the project is part of their regular program.

Key dates

Round 1

  • Applications open at 8am on 1 September 2025
  • Applications close at 2pm on 2 October 2025
  • Assessed by a panel of peers
  • Notification of application outcome 11 December 2025
  • Activity must start from 1 January 2026
  • Case study report due 3 months after completion of the approved activity.

Round 2

  • Applications open at 8am on 2 February 2026
  • Applications close at 2pm on 5 March 2026
  • Notification of application outcome  from 14 May 2026
  • Activity must start from 1 July 2026
  • Case study report due 3 months after completion of the approved activity.
