Funding for providers

Regulated early childhood education and care services can access funding to assist in the delivery of their programs, and lower costs for families. Read more about what funding is available, who is eligible and how funding is provided.

Under the Early Childhood Safe Start Strong Futures Plan, all regulated services must meet accountability requirements including using funding to ensure that safety and quality standards are met.

The Department of Education and Training is currently reviewing the NT Early Childhood Services Subsidy to improve equity and strengthen reporting requirements. More information will be shared with the sector for the 2026-27 financial year.

Preschool Reform Agreement funding

Funding from the Preschool Reform Agreement strengthens the delivery of quality preschool programs and better prepares children for the first year of school.

Early Childhood Services Subsidy
