Objections and submissions to mineral title applications

Landowners can object to the proposed grant of a mineral title over their land. Anyone else can make a submission about the application.

How to object or make a submission

To object or make a submission, you must submit it in writing to the department.

You must do this within 30 days of the notification date shown on the NT News advertisement.

All objections and submissions will be sent to the applicant, who can choose whether or not to respond.

The department will take them into account when making a decision on an application.
