Business Pivot Grant

If you run a business in the Northern Territory you may be able to apply for funding to adapt to the new economic environment and reach new markets.

Businesses can get help to improve their digital capabilities through:

  • e-commerce solutions and the
  • use of technology to improve visibility and profitability.

You must go through a registered provider to access this service.

If you’re a service provider, you can apply from Wednesday 22 September.

Businesses can apply from Wednesday 6 October 2021.

Who can apply

You can apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • have an annual turnover of more than $75,000 and less than $10 million
  • be a Territory enterprise
  • hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • employ at least one full-time and no more than 20 full-time employees.

What you can get

You can apply for up to $10,000 on a 50/50 contribution.

The funding can be used for:

  • purchase of new digital equipment, technology or software
  • hiring a consultant to improve digital capabilities
  • renovations or improvements.

How to apply

You can apply through the GrantsNT website.

To apply, follow these steps:

Step 1. Read the terms and conditions.

Step 2. Search and select active service providers on the GrantsNT website.

If your preferred provider is not on the list, you can add them on the application. If they are eligible, they will be invited to register.

Step 3. Go to GrantsNT and log in to your account.

If you don’t have an account you will need to create one, even if you are a sole trader.

Step 4. Fill in and submit the application. You must include at least one quote in your application.

When you apply for the grant, the quotes and invoices you submit must meet the terms and conditions.

After you apply

You will be advised of the outcome.

If you're successful, you will get an approval email with a voucher.

The voucher covers 50% of the total cost of works, up to a maximum of $10,000.

Services must be:

  • provided after application is approved, and
  • completed by the voucher's expiry date.

Who can apply

To participate in the program, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • be a Territory enterprise
  • hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have provided services for at least 12 months before registering
  • maintain all relevant business, occupation and related permits, licences and insurance coverage
  • have successfully registered to be part of the program.

Step 3. Select the categories you'd like to provide services for under the program.

Step 4. Fill in and submit your application.

After you apply

You will be advised of the outcome.

If you are successful, you must meet your responsibilities in the terms and conditions.

If you provide services, you must provide the business with an invoice.
