Public health guidelines for swimming pool operators

Public swimming pools in the Northern Territory must be built and maintained to minimise risks to public health.

Designers, builders and operators of aquatic facilities should read the public health guidelines for aquatic facilities.

Although still a draft, these guidelines will help to do the following:

  • make sure your facility is safe by being properly designed, built, operated and maintained
  • maintain safe water quality
  • reduce disease, injury and other public health risks.
