School bus alerts and route changes

Changes starting Monday 18 November

There will be changes to certain bus routes that travel to or from:

  • Berry Springs Primary School
  • Bees Creek Primary School
  • Sattler Christian College
  • Taminmin College.

From Monday 18 November 2019, there will be a change to school bus routes 403 and 417.

Services will now end at Taminmin College instead of Bees Creek Primary School and Sattler Christian College.

What students need to do

Students will need to use different services to travel to and from school.

Morning

Students will need to catch route 413 from Taminmin College to the schools.

The route will leave Taminmin College at about 7:55am and arrive at:

  • Sattler Christian College at around 8:05am
  • Bees Creek Primary School at around 8:07am.

Afternoon

Students will need to:

  • catch routes 413 or 467 from the schools to Humpty Doo Park and Ride, then
  • transfer onto routes 403 or 417 to their home destination - the rest of the routes will not change.

From Monday 18 November 2019, route 413 morning service will leave 10 minutes earlier at 7:20am instead of 7:30am.

The route will:

  • arrive at Taminmin College at 7:52am, then
  • depart from Taminmin College at around 7:55am and
  • arrive at:
    • Sattler Christian College at around 8:05am
    • Bees Creek Primary School at 8:07am.

From Monday 18 November 2019, route 425 will no longer travel to and from Berry Springs Primary School.

What students should do

Students catching 425 should transfer to route 429 from Cox Peninsula Interchange to the school.

Morning

In the morning, route 425 will:

  • depart from the interchange at 6:40am
  • arrive at Acacia Store around 7:05am, then
  • return to the interchange at 7:30am.

If you need help, speak to your Buslink supervisor at the interchange.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, students should:

  • catch route 429 from Berry Springs Primary School to the interchange, then
  • transfer onto route 425 going back home.

Route 425 will:

  • depart from the interchange at 3:45pm
  • arrive at Acacia Store around 4:10pm
  • then return to the interchange at around 4:30pm.

From Monday 18 November 2019, route 427 will extend to 945 Mira Road South Shukers Farm.

Morning

In the morning, the bus will:

  • depart from 945 Mira Road South Shukers Farm at 6:50am, then
  • meet students at Mira Road South Turning Point (current departure location) at 6:55am, then
  • continue along the route of travel.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, the route will arrive at 945 Mira Road South Shukers Farm at 4:20pm.

What students should do

Students currently catching route 425 from 945 Mira Road South Shukers Farm should now catch route 427 to Cox Peninsula Interchange.

The rest of the route and timetable will not change. Students currently catching this service will not be affected.

From Monday 18 November 2019, bus route 473 morning service will extend to Bees Creek Primary School and Sattler Christian College (Bees Creek schools).

The route will:

  • leave Palmerston Bus Interchange at the current time of 7:35am and
  • arrive at:
    • the schools at around 8:07am
    • Taminmin College at 8:15am.

The route of travel will change to the following:

  • from Stuart Highway, right onto Bees Creek Road
  • right onto Sattler Crescent (drop off at the schools)
  • U-turn back onto Sattler Crescent
  • right onto Bees Creek Road and continue along the road
  • left onto Gulnare Road
  • left onto Stuart Highway
  • right onto Arnhem Highway and then
  • continue along the route of travel to Taminmin College.

There will be no change to the current afternoon service travel route.

What students need to do

The route extension will not affect Taminmin College students who currently catch this bus.

Students from the Bees Creek schools will no longer need to catch a bus to Taminmin College and then transfer on to another bus to the schools in the morning.
