Ignite program
If you’re a Northern Territory (NT) founder or early-stage business with an innovative idea, you can apply for the Ignite program.
The Ignite program helps businesses develop and commercialise innovative concepts.
It provides mentoring, expert advice and pre-seed funding.
What you can get
There are 2 streams of support available depending on where you are in your journey.
Stream A: Planning
For those with an innovative idea for a new business, early-stage product or service.
Eligible applicants receive:
- a $2,000 voucher
- access to advisory and mentorship services to prepare an innovation project plan.
Eligible participants may also be invited to participate in pitch and investor training and support programs.

Stream B: Creating
For those with an innovation project plan who want to develop their innovation for commercialisation.
Eligible applicants may receive:
- funding of up to $15,000 to develop a minimum viable product
- an invitation to participate in pitch training.

Who can apply
You can apply if you are an NT business and have a valid Australian business number.

Register as an Innovation Partner
If your business provides innovation advisory services, you can register as an advisor for the program.
To be an Innovation Partner, your business must be able to demonstrate experience in:
- developing tools to pitch for investment
- providing advice to early-stage innovators to develop an investment-ready minimum viable product
- connecting innovators with stakeholders that can provide further investment or commercialisation support.
