Asset Assistance Grant

Non-profit organisations (NPO) can apply for the Asset Assistance Grant if their assets were significantly damaged by an eligible disaster.

What you can get

You can apply for a grant of up to $10,000 to repair or replace an asset that:

  • was controlled by an NPO before the declared disaster event
  • will bring future economic benefits to the NPO
  • was significantly damaged as a direct result of the disaster event
  • has no alternative funding source to rectify the damage and used any available cash reserve or insurance prior to seeking assistance.

Who can apply

To apply for the grant, NPOs impacted by a specific severe weather event must be in an eligible local government area (LGA).

  • Alice Springs Town Council
  • Barkly Regional Council
  • Central Desert Regional Council
  • MacDonnel Regional Council.

NPOs in the LGA of:

  • Victoria Daly Regional Council.

NPOs in the LGA of:

  • Belyuen Community Government Council
  • City of Darwin
  • City of Palmerston
  • Coomalie Community Council
