Access to PrEP and PEP
You can get Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) or Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) to prevent HIV.
Make an appointment at clinic 34 or find a doctor that prescribes PrEP on the PAN website.
Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
PrEP is a pill that can be taken daily to prevent HIV.
To find out more about PrEP go to the Get PrEP'D website.
Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)
PEP can be taken to prevent HIV after a possible exposure.
The sooner you start PEP the better. It must be taken within 72 hours after a possible HIV exposure.
You can access PEP for free at:
- all Clinic 34 locations
- emergency departments in the Northern Territory (NT).
In remote areas, all health clinics can access PEP through RDH.
For more information about PEP, go to the Get PrEP'D website.
