Oral Health Services coordinate public dental appointments in the Northern Territory (NT) you can contact the service between 8am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday excluding public holidays and weekends.

Appointments

For all appointments call either:

• Central Australia and Barkly region on 08 8951 6713
• Top End, Big Rivers or East Arnhem regions on 08 8922 6466.

Oral health teams visit remote communities at set times during the year, check the calendar for oral health services.

Appointments can be made at:

• community clinics - for all ages located in Alice Springs, Casuarina, Palmerston, Katherine, Gove or Tennant Creek
• primary schools - for children from birth to year 6
• remote locations - with the specialist out reach services.

When you make your appointment

You will need to provide some general information like:

• your details - name, date of birth, contact and address
• who the appointment is for - an adult or a child
• Medicare card details
• concession card details or other ways you may be eligible
• your dental needs - such as needing a routine check-up or experiencing pain.

There may be a waitlist for adult bookings.

Immediate dental help

If you need immediate dental help and you are not eligible or unable to make a booking, find after hours medical care or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.
