Renal physiotherapy

A renal physiotherapist can help you maintain or improve your physical function during your kidney disease journey.

Access the service

The renal physiotherapist provides services for renal patients located at:

• Royal Darwin Hospital
• Darwin and Palmerston region dialysis units
• haemodialysis patients at the Tiwi dialysis unit.

A telehealth service is also available for those who meet the criteria.

Outpatient referrals can only be made by health professional.

Inpatient referrals can be made by hospital staff.

Eligibility

You can be referred to the service if you:

• are an adult
• have stage 4-5 chronic kidney disease
• are on any form of dialysis
• have had a kidney transplant
