BuildBonus grant

If you are buying or building a new home in the Northern Territory, you can apply for a grant of $20,000.

This grant is limited to the first 600 applications.

A new home is one that has never been previously lived in or sold as a place of residence.

To be eligible for the grant, you must have entered into a contract to build or buy a home, or have started construction as an owner builder on or after 8 February 2019.

Before you apply, you should read the BuildBonus guide to the application. Your application will only be accepted if it includes all supporting documentation outlined in the guide.

You can only apply for one grant of $20,000 per property.

To apply for the BuildBonus, follow these steps:

Step 1. Fill in the application – this can be found in the guide.

Step 2. Attach any supporting documents.

You will also need to include the BuildBonus vendor declaration with your application:

Step 3. Submit your application by mail or email to:

The date you can expect to receive the grant will depend on whether you are buying or building a new house.
