Children and Families, Housing, Local Government and Community Development

The Department of Children and Families and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Community Development will have a partial closedown from Wednesday 25 December 2024 and will reopen Thursday 2 January 2025.

Essential and on-call services will continue to operate as usual throughout the Christmas and New Year period.

Child Protection and Housing will continue to operate Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm, closing on public holidays.

The child protection reporting line will continue to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
