Arts Industry Development grant

If you're an eligible arts organisation in the Northern Territory (NT), you can apply to get up to $20,000 in funding.

You must use this funding to deliver the priorities of the NT Arts Strategy 2034.

These priorities include investing in:

  • empowering people to build a strong, creative and culturally diverse arts sector
  • connecting arts, culture and creativity to community to grow the creative and cultural life of the Territory
  • enriching audiences and celebrating the value of Territory arts and culture to grow a strong arts, cultural and creative economy.

Read more about the strategy on the Territory Families, Housing and Communities website.

Who can apply

You must meet the eligibility requirements in the guidelines for the Arts Grants Program.

What you can apply for

Examples include arts and culture initiatives that:

  • remove barriers for emerging and professional artists and arts workers with disability to increase accessibility
  • activate arts and culture opportunities in remote regions to increase community engagement and cohesion
  • celebrate and promote Territory artists to grow demand in local, national and international markets.

Applications that deliver arts sector benefit and activate arts industry development in remote NT are encouraged.

You can't get funding for the development of new artistic work for presentation. Read more about exclusions in the guidelines.

Applications are now open until 30 April 2025 (or until budget is expended).

You can apply online at GrantsNT.

You will be notified of your application outcome within 20 working days of submission.
