Opening an ECEC service

You must get approval to open an approved provider of education and care in Australia.

Regulatory body

Quality Education and Care NT (QECNT) regulates early childhood education and care services, including early childhood service providers, in the NT under the National Quality Framework.

The role of QECNT includes:

  • ensuring services comply with the law
  • approving applications to operate an early childhood service
  • quality rating of services against national standards
  • incident and complaint investigation.
