Youth bail support facilities
When young people are granted bail by the police or courts, they may not have suitable community or home-based options to support their bail conditions.
Three bail support facilities in the NT provide supervised accommodation and tailored support for young people who may otherwise be remanded in custody at Holtz Youth Detention Centre or Alice Springs Intake and Transfer Facility.

- Darwin
- Tennant Creek
- Alice Springs.
What it involves
Bail support facilities are designed to assist the young person comply with their bail conditions, make positive choices and learn skills and strategies.
While staying at a bail support facility, young people are provided with safe and supervised accommodation, along with structured support to engage in education, training and wellbeing programs.
Contact with family is encouraged to help young people on bail stay connected with their community.
