If you have a dispute with a trader, NT Consumer Affairs can help in trying to resolve the dispute. This process is known as conciliation.
Conciliation is a voluntary process where a fair trading officer will act on your behalf to reach an agreeable outcome that is suitable for both parties.
As this is a voluntary process, Consumer Affairs cannot make a trader take part or direct them to take a certain course of action.
