Permit types and expiry
| Permit type | Expiry |
|---|---|
| Permanent resident - new or renewal | 3 years |
| Contractor | Duration of contract, but no longer than 12 months |
| Visitor | Duration of visit, but no longer than 3 months |
Alyangula permit rules
In Alyangula with a permit, Alyangula residents, contractors or tourists can:
- buy takeaway alcohol
- drink at a private residence
- drink at the town's clubs.
Outside of Alyangula you cannot drink even with a permit.
Umbakumba and Angurugu permit rules
While Umbakumba and Angurugu residents can apply for a permit, it is only for the purposes of entering and drinking at the 2 clubs:
- Alyangula Golf Club and
- the Arc.
