Aboriginal Workforce Grants (AWG)

If you are a Northern Territory (NT) enterprise, you can apply for an Aboriginal Workforce Grant.

Aboriginal Workforce Grants support initiatives or projects that result in more Aboriginal Territorians getting into and staying in jobs.

Grants of up to $80,000 are available for this round.

This will be the final competitive round. From 1 July 2019, grants will be awarded on a non-competitive basis to proposals that deliver employment results.

Who can apply

You can apply if you are an NT enterprise including:

  • private businesses
  • industry bodies
  • not-for-profit organisations
  • other incorporated organisations.

How to apply

To apply, follow these steps:

Step 1. Read the Aboriginal Workforce Grants guidelines:

Step 2. Fill in the Aboriginal Workforce Grants application (58.1 kb).

Step 3. Submit your completed application by email to Handwritten applications cannot be accepted.

Applications close at 12 noon on 21 January 2019. Applications received after this time and date will not be accepted.

How applications are assessed

Applications will be assessed on a competitive basis by a panel.

Preference will be given to applications that support economic growth and development. To find out more, go to the Northern Territory Government's Economic Development Framework website.
