Mining decisions and licences public register

A new public register is being developed as part of the new environmental (mining) licensing framework.

Under the Environment Protection Act 2019, the Northern Territory Government must keep a public register of:

• details of authorised mining activities deemed to hold an environmental (mining) licence
• approved environmental (mining) licences
• certain decisions.

The current registers provide a summary of approved mine, extractive mineral and exploration sites:
