Escort licences

You must have an escort agency licence to operate or manage an escort agency business.

This guide has information about who can apply, how to apply, rules for advertising for escorts, operating an escort agency and how to appeal a decision.

What an escort agency does

An escort agency provides prostitution services at a place other than its place of business.

Clients do not go to the place of business to arrange or receive prostitution services.

There are always two or more people involved in an escort agency business. For example, a licensee and one or more workers.

Prostitution services

Prostitution is where a person provides sexual services of any description to another person of the same or opposite sex in exchange for payment or reward.
