Industry Capability Program
Applications extended
Applications for the Industry Capability Program have been extended until Monday 8 June 2026.
The Industry Capability Program, replacing the previous Industry Support Grant, helps strengthen the Northern Territory’s (NT) key industry sectors.
The program supports strategic and innovative projects that:
- building sectors
- increase NT industry competitiveness
- support the strengthening of industry workforce
- strengthen industry resilience.
Application process
You may submit multiple grant applications for different projects.
A separate application must be submitted for each project, and each application will be assessed individually.
Applications have been extended and will now close Monday 8 June 2026.
What you can get
Applications will be assessed on a competitive basis. Eligible applicants can apply for up to $500,000 per year per project (excluding GST).
A 10% co-contribution is required for applications requesting $100,000 and above.
Funding is for time-limited projects of up to 2 years.
Who can apply
To be eligible for funding, you must:
- be a registered NT/Australian incorporated association, a registered independent not for profit organisation or a company limited by guarantee, with other organisation types considered on a case‑by‑case basis
- be an NT industry peak body, identifying this as the primary purpose of their organisation, that represents the interests of their respective NT industry or sector and have a business and industry development focus - for example advocacy, standards, professional development, networking, information hub
- have NT-based staff presence.
