How to lodge and pay
This page has information on how to lodge a dutiable document and how to pay stamp duty.
You must lodge your document and pay your stamp duty within 60 days of signing.
If you have a conveyancer or solicitor, they may lodge the documents on your behalf.
If you are lodging your own documents, read below for further information.
If payment is not made by the due date, you may have to pay penalty tax and interest.

Before you submit

How to submit
To lodge a dutiable document, follow these steps:
Step 1. Fill in the stamp duty lodgement form PDF (225.5 KB).
Step 2. Attach any relevant documents.
Step 3. Submit your document by mail or in person to the Territory Revenue Office.
After you lodge
Depending on the type of transaction the documents relate to, the Territory Revenue Office may contact you for further information.
You will be issued a notice of assessment which will include the amount of stamp duty you need to pay.
