Smoke-free public transport areas
In the Northern Territory (NT), you're not allowed to smoke in public transport areas like buses, bus stops and interchanges. This includes vape and e-cigarettes.
Bus drivers and people working in these areas can't smoke either.
Smoking is not allowed in both covered and uncovered waiting areas regardless of weather conditions.
If you smoke in these places, you might get a ticket from a transit officer.
The maximum penalty is 20 penalty units.
