Smoke-free public transport areas
In the Northern Territory (NT), you're not allowed to smoke in public transport areas like buses, bus stops and interchanges.
This includes vape and e-cigarettes.
If you smoke in these places, you might get a ticket from a transit officer.
The maximum penalty is 20 penalty units.
For more information, read the smoke-free area policy PDF (697.5 KB).
If you need help to quit smoking, contact the NT Quitline by calling 137 848. You can also go to the Australian Government's Department of Health and Aged Care website.

Below are maps for each interchange. Smoke-free areas are marked in red.
