Employ a prisoner
NT businesses can now partner with the Sentenced to a Job 2.0 (S2AJ) program and employ job-ready prisoners.
The Department of Corrections runs the program and supports both employers and prisoners.
How it works
S2AJ is part of a 4-stage pathway.

- Training is delivered with Charles Darwin University and registered training organisations.
2. Employment
- Businesses employ eligible prisoners who have been screened, trained, mentored and equipped with real-world skills.
- Prisoners are paid award wages and contribute to living costs, fines or family support.
- Businesses have the chance to assess workers during trial placements before offering ongoing employment.
3. Support

4. Post-release support
