Smoking

Electronic cigarettes

Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are battery-powered devices that do not burn tobacco, but use vapour.

It is against the law to use vapour that contains nicotine.

You can use e-cigarettes anywhere in the Northern Territory (NT), unless there are signs saying you can't use them.

Retailers: new regulations for e-cigarettes

From 1 January 2019, the NT Government will regulate e-cigarette products in the same way as tobacco products. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping equipment.
