Hydrotherapy at Palmerston Hospital
Hydrotherapy is a type of therapy that is conducted in water to improve your function, strength and range of motion. It is currently only available at the Palmerston Regional Hospital.
Hydrotherapy service
The Palmerston Regional Hospital mainly run group based service, however one-on-one sessions are available if required.
Sessions are provided to inpatients regularly during rehabilitation.
Classes are also provided for the following outpatients:
- pre and post joint surgery
- rehabilitation outpatients
- pain service.
