Building: private open space

This page has information about meeting Northern Territory (NT) requirements for private open space.

Private open space must be all of the following:

  • open to the sky
  • predominantly permeable
  • appropriately sited
  • of adequate size to provide for domestic purposes and outdoor living activities
  • inclusive of areas of deep soil for shade tree planting.
