Where they live

Found in turbid inshore waters with sandy to muddy bottoms to a depth of 75m. 

They may enter estuaries and also tolerate water with low salinity. 

Often associated with inshore wrecks.

Size and age

Maximum recorded length is 80cm. Maximum age unknown.
